Minor 4.0-magnitude Earthquake in Los Angeles A slight earthquake shook the Los Angeles area early this morning.The epicentre was just east of the Los Angeles International Airport, near Century Boulevard on the south side of Hollywood Park, according to the US Geological Survey.It was also very deep, at 12 miles.  The quake struck at 4.44 a.m. local time on Monday. Light shaking was reported throughout the greater metropolitan area, according to the USGS, with no major damage forecast.Several foreshocks, the strongest of which was magnitude 3.3, preceded the quake, which was accompanied by a series of minor aftershocks.
